YOUTH BUSINESS COMPETITIONOFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES
THE ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED. THIS COMPETITION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.THIS COMPETITION IS ONLY OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF ANY OTHER JURISDICTION, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION.
PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES CAREFULLY TO ENSURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND EACH PROVISION. THESE OFFICIAL RULES CONTAIN A MANDATORY CLASS ACTION WAIVER PROVISION IN SECTION 15 THAT REQUIRES THAT ALL DISPUTES BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, RATHER THAN BY CLASS ACTIONS.
“This WorldofMoney.org Youth Business Pitch Competition (the “Competition”) is open only to United States residents who are at least age 7 to 18 years of age at date of entry; and escorted by a parent.” All applicable laws and regulations apply. Owners, employees, and independent contractors of World of Money.org, Inc.(“WorldofMoney.org”), and their subsidiaries, affiliates, their advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of such persons, are not eligible to participate in the Competition. Entrants who do not comply with these Official Competition Rules are not eligible to compete or win a Prize (as defined below in Section 7). By entering the Competition, you attest that you are eligible for the Competition and have agreed to and complied in all respects with these Official Competition Rules for the World of Money.org Competition.
2. Entry Deadline:
The Competition begins at 7:00pm Eastern Time (“ET”) on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Online entries will be accepted until 12 midnight ET on August 19, 2015 (“Competition Term”).
3. How to Enter:
In order to enter the Competition, Participants must submit a 60 second elevator pitch as a YouTube video link along with the 60 second written script from the video (“Entry”). Judges will only watch 60 seconds of video. Videos can be amateur shot or professionally produced. All entries must be submitted via the online submission form on https://worldofmoney.org/youthbizpitch by Wednesday, August 19, 2015. The Entry that contains the most creative, innovative and professional pitch, as determined in accordance with the Winner Selection Process (defined in Section 5 below) will win the Prize (defined in Section 7).
NOTE: AFTER submitting online, contestants must also:
1) follow @worldofmoney on Instagram and enter hashtag #youthbizpitch
2) insert link to contestant’s youtube.com video.
All valid Entries must be submitted electronically through the Application.
By submitting an Entry, entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by: (i) the World of Money.org Terms of Service located at [http://blog.WorldofMoney.org/terms/] (“Terms of Service”), which are incorporated by reference herein, (ii) these Official Competition Rules, and (iii) any decision by World of Money.org or its designees makes regarding any matters relating to the Competition. All decisions made by Worldofmoney.org or its designees shall be final and binding. World of Money.org reserves the right to disqualify entrants from the Competition, and any future Competition or other promotion conducted by World of Money.org, and to prosecute to the fullest extent permitted by law, any entrant who, in World of Money.org’s reasonable judgment, tampers with any of WorldofMoney.org’s websites, the entry process, or any Competition; violates these Official Rules or any applicable law; or acts in a disruptive manner. In the event of disqualification of the winner, WorldofMoney.org may replace the winner with the next runner-up at the sole discretion of World of Money.org.
Without limiting any other provision of these Official Rules, by submitting an Entry, each entrant agrees to grant and hereby expressly grants, and represents and warrants that it has all rights necessary to grant, to World of Money.org a royalty-free, sub licensable, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, list information regarding, edit, translate, distribute, syndicate, sync, publicly perform, publicly display, and make derivative works of the Entry and all content and information contained therein, in whole or in part, and in any form, media or technology, whether now known or hereafter developed, for use in connection with World of Money.org’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) current and future services and business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the current or future World of Money.org services or business in any media formats and through any media channels. Each entrant further grants World of Money.org the right to disseminate information regarding the Entries as part of World of Money.org’s services and ongoing marketing and public relations efforts without compensation, notice to or approval from the entrant, unless prohibited by law. Each entrant shall take any additional steps reasonably requested by World of Money.org in order to transfer and/or perfect the rights granted or warranted to World of Money.org in these Official Rules.
If an Entry is chosen by World of Money.org as a Competition winner, each winning entrant expressly consents to the public disclosure of the content contained in the Entry, his or her name, pictures and entry story. Furthermore, each winning entrant consents to the use of his or her name, video, photograph and/or likeness, address, voice, and statements made by or attributed to him or her in an Entry or otherwise, by World of Money.org, in perpetuity, in all media, technologies, and other formats now existing or later developed (including but not limited to print, broadcast, mobile networks, and Internet), for all business purposes, such as advertising and promotional activities, without additional compensation, notice, or approval, unless prohibited by law.
By entering the Competition, entrant warrants that he or she is the sole designer, creator, and owner of the Entry, including without limitation all visual components, or has all necessary permissions and rights to use and submit all components of the Entry, and further warrants that the Entry (including all content contained therein) does not infringe the rights of any third party, including without limitation intellectual property rights or rights of publicity or privacy. Entrant must have obtained all necessary releases from any persons or related to any subject matter appearing in
each Entry. Entrants are solely responsible for the contents of their Entries.
4. Competition of Skill:
Because this is a Competition of skill, winning is dependent on the quantity and quality of entries received during the Competition Term; however WorldofMoney.org estimates that the total number of entrants in the Competition will be approximately 400.
5. Finalist Selection Process:
Five (5) finalists will be notified on August 21, 2015 and selected to pitch their businesses in front of a live audience on Martha’s Vineyard. Finalists are responsible for their transportation, lodging and expenses to, from and during this contest. WorldofMoney.org bears zero responsibility for contestant’s expenses to participate in this competition.
6. Winner Selection Process:
Winners of the Competition will be selected in accordance with the winner selection process set forth in this Section 5 (“Winner Selection Process”). WorldofMoney.org shall decide the winner based on the following criteria: (1) Originality of Concept; (2) Polish and Appeal–Is this submission easy to understand and aesthetically appealing?; (3) Effectiveness – Was the submission effective in presenting and selling and explaining the product or service in a professional and creative way; (4) Compelling – Was it captivating and left the audience wanting more information; and (5) Length – Was all the above done within 60 seconds.
All decisions of World of Money.org are final and binding and shall be in WorldofMoney.org’s sole discretion.
7. Notification of Winner; Winner Obligations:
World of Money.org shall notify the top 3 finalists will be invited to the “Do I Look Like an ATM Family Feud Game Show and Youth Business Competition” on August 22, 2015 in Oak Bluffs, MA. All finalists will be notified by email to the address provided during the submission process within 1 days of the selection. All potential winners must respond to the email notification within 1 days with the completed verification and acceptance. At the August 22nd event you will deliver your pitch to a live audience for the final judging, no audio visuals allowed (collectively “Winner Notification”). If a potential winner cannot be reached by email or if he/she is found to be ineligible or otherwise not
in compliance with these Official Competition Rules, as determined by World of Money.org in its sole discretion, he/she may be disqualified and an alternate entrant may be selected. Any notification returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification. The winning entrant must respond to the Winner Notification from his/her registered e-mail address within 12 hours of receipt of the Winner Notification, and, in order to be eligible to accept a Prize, must include in such response: (i) winning entrant’s full legal name, (ii) current residential mailing address, (iii) phone number, and (iv) date of birth.
NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ANY OF THESE REQUIREMENTS OR ANY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION, IN WHICH CASE WORLD OF MONEY.ORG MAY SELECT AN ALTERNATE WINNING ENTRANT.
Prize: First Place: $500.00. (“Prize”).
The approximate retail value of the Competition Prizes is $500.00.
9. Chances of Winning:
An entrant’s chance of winning depends on the total number of Entries received.

ALL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF THE PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANTS. World of Money.org reserves the right to withhold any taxes as required by applicable law. The winning entrants may be required to supply Social Security numbers or other taxpayer identification numbers prior to the award of any prize.
13. Facebook Disclaimer: The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook. By entering the Competition, entrants are providing information only to World of Money.org and not to Facebook.
14. Disclaimer and Limit of Liability:
WORLD OF MONEY.ORG MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN ANY COMPETITION. WORLD OF MONEY.ORG SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, COST, OR INJURY THAT ARISES FROM OR RELATES TO PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION, OR WINNING OR USE OF A PRIZE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: (1) LATE, LOST, DELAYED, DAMAGED, MISDIRECTED, INCOMPLETE, OR UNINTELLIGIBLE ENTRIES; (2) ELECTRONIC, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE PROGRAM, NETWORK, INTERNET, OR COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONS, FAILURES, VIRUSES OR DIFFICULTIES OF ANY KIND; (3) FAILED, INCOMPLETE, GARBLED, OR DELAYED COMPUTER TRANSMISSIONS; (4) THE UPLOADING OR DOWNLOADING OF ANY MATERIAL OR CONTENT IN CONNECTION WITH THIS COMPETITION; AND (5) ANY OTHER CONDITION THAT MAY CAUSE THE COMPETITION TO BE DISRUPTED OR CORRUPTED. WORLD OF MONEY.ORG RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION AND WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, TO SUSPEND OR CANCEL ANY COMPETITION OR ALTER THE RULES FOR ANY REASON, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ALTERATION OR CORRUPTION OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMPETITION BY COMPUTER VIRUS, TECHNICAL PROBLEM, OR OTHER UNFORESEEABLE EVENT.
BY ENTERING THE COMPETITION, EACH ENTRANT INDEMNIFIES, RELEASES AND AGREES TO HOLD HARMLESS WORLD OF MONEY.ORG, FACEBOOK AND THEIR PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES FROM ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY CLAIMS, COSTS, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THOSE RELATED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, INFRINGEMENT OF PROPRIETARY RIGHTS, RIGHTS OF PUBLICITY, OR PRIVACY OR DEFAMATION AND ATTORNEY FEES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH: (1) ENTERING THE COMPETITION; (2) ACCEPTANCE OR USE OF ANY PRIZE; (3) ANY OTHER ACT OR OMISSION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE COMPETITION; OR (4) ANY VIOLATION OR ALLEGED VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES.
THE RELEASES HEREUNDER ARE INTENDED TO APPLY TO ALL CLAIMS NOT NOW KNOWN OR SUSPECTED TO EXIST WITH THE INTENT OF WAIVING THE EFFECT OF CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE SECTION 1542, WHICH STATES: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE, WHICH IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR,” AS WELL AS OTHER LAWS REQUIRING PRESENT INTENT TO RELEASE FUTURE UNKNOWN CLAIMS.
16. Governing Law:
This Competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, applicable to contracts made and performed therein without reference to conflicts of law principles. All actions, proceedings, or litigation relating hereto will be instituted and prosecuted solely in New York County, New York. The parties consent to the jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in New York County, New York, with respect to any action, dispute, or other matter pertaining to or arising out of any Competition. Entrants further agree that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Competition, or any Prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited, in jurisdictions that allow such limitation, to actual out-of-pocket costs and shall not include punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages or attorney’s fees; and (iii) decisions of World of Money.org regarding the administration of the Competition and the determination of winners are final and binding and therefore
may not be disputed.
